Steps from City Hall, Downton affordable apartments headed toward construction

More than 200 affordable apartments are planned for an empty lot on the doorstep of Atlanta City Hall. SSOE

An apartment building slated for an empty lot across from Atlanta City Hall would
provide government workers and other Downtown employees with an affordable place
to live near their offices.
Radiant Development Partners and Capitol Hill Neighborhood Development Corp. — an
organization formed by leaders from three churches — plan to fill the corner of Trinity
and Central Avenues with more than 200 affordable apartments and ground-level
retail space.

The real estate team hopes to start construction on the 10-story project, known as Trinity
Flats, by the end of the year. It is now finalizing the design of the building and securing
necessary permits, said Sharon Guest, principal at Radiant Development Partners.
